A story on Page B1 on Thursday about Rep. Kevin McCarthy incorrectly stated who appointed him to lead the Republican convention’s platform committee. Republican National Committee chairman Robert M. “Mike” Duncan named McCarthy to the position, not Tom Cole, the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee. A photo caption on Page 3 of Thursday's Ticket stated that actor Peter Fonda would host the Avila Beach Music Festival on Tuesday. Fonda has canceled his appearance. Go to the corrected story
